On Tuesday, the 8th of December 2015, a delegation of the University of Zakho participated in a seminar on Methods of Teaching in English Language for Private Non- Departmental Purposes at the Present and Future. This event was organized by the Nawroz University- Duhok and visited by a number of experts in the field of education and methods of teaching. The delegation of the University of Zakho consisted of Asst. Prof. Dr. Newzat A. Zebary, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Abdulsattar Jabbar Haji, the Director of the Training and Development Center, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nowzet Jameel Saleem, the Head of the Department of Commerce and Banking, Dr. Range M. Nori, the Head of the Department of Business Economics.

The following subjects were discussed during the seminar:

1. The Experience of South- East Countries in ESPT and NLET.

2. Designing an ESP Program for Students of Management.

3. Teaching English to Non- departmental Students: Confused Concepts.

4. Problems in Teaching ESP and NLE.

5. The Teacher of English as a Non- Specialized Subject.

6. The Globe's Experience in ESPT and NLET Compared to Its Counterpart in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

7. The Importance of Teaching English to Non- departmental University Students.
